UND Men’s Volleyball Club Member Responsibilities

Manage your time to the *best of your ability so you can
participate in as many practices, events and tourneys as possible.
*If you do not have the time to commit and the
willingness to learn, perhaps this isn’t the club sport for you. You have been warned J
·
Do yourself and your teammates a favor:
Stretch and workout often. This
is not a lazy man’s sport. Couch
potato’s need not apply.

Promptly inform team officers of any changes in contact info.
o
This includes, but is not limited to the following: Email address, home phone #’s, cell phone
#’s, home address and any other info.
·
Check email at least every other day AND respond promptly
to emails requesting information or feedback.
o The people whose job it is
to keep our organization going need all requested info in a timely
fashion. Respond ASAP!
·
Inform a teammate (preferable an officer) if you are unable to attend a
practice and as early as possible.
o Immediately inform team officers/coach
when you know you will not be making a tournament. Last minute = bad.
·
Lifting weights or doing a heavy weight workout on practice days
isn’t advised. Please do not work out
immediately prior to practice.
·
Come to practice prepared!
o Proper practice clothes
o Water bottle
o Ready to work hard and to be
coached

*This is Very Important so you can be
familiar with our tourney schedule!

Pay dues on time or make other arrangements with the team treasurer. NOT
paying dues guarantees NO playing time.
·
Be on time to designated meetings (i.e. Practice, events, and especially
morning meetings before tourneys. Fill
your tank up the night before)
o Being tardy shows disrespect
to your teammates.
·
If getting certified to referee for the season, promptly complete and
hand in all items required. Referees –
Buy your own whistle!
·
Enjoy the benefits of summer volleyball in the sand! It improves your game immensely!!!
Most importantly, have fun
playing a fantastic sport!
