The 2010 Red River Valley History Conference

The Beta Upsilon Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta is pleased to announce the Fifth Annual Red River Valley History Conference. The Conference will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.

Proposals from students for individual papers are welcome on any topic, time period, or approach to history.  The panels will include two or three paper presentations at twenty minutes each. Presentations will be followed by a brief commentary.  A $100 cash prize will be awarded to the best paper. Please submit a one-page proposal that consists of a one-page abstract and one-page curriculum vitae byJanuary 22, 2010. Electronic submission is required. The
deadline for proposals (one-page abstract and CV): January 22, 2010 and the deadline for submission of paper is February 26, 2010.

In addition to paper presentations, the conference will include a keynote speaker. Participants may also sign up for a conference lunch.
