Here are some facts about our fraternity: · As of 2005, Kappa Sigma has existed on 295 campuses throughout the United States and Canada. Over 250,000 men have been initiated into the Fraternity which currently includes over 158,000 living alumni and 10,000 undergraduates. · The Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund awards over $250,000 each year to qualified brothers of the Fraternity who excel in the classroom, on campus, in the community and within the Fraternity. Since 1948, the Endowment Fund has awarded more the $3.5 million to thousands of deserving Kappa Sigma brothers. · Kappa Sigma has developed outstanding, progressive programs in alcohol and drug education (My Brother's Keeper), individual and chapter scholarship, and recognizes excellence with individual, chapter and alumnus awards. · Kappa Sigma forbids hazing. The Fraternity fosters meaningful pledging experiences by offering a progressive pledge education program through our Brothers In Action initiative. · Kappa Sigma is focused on helping people become well rounded individuals. To this end, we follow the four pillars of our fraternity: Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service. Each of these is critical to the life of a Kappa Sigma, and our chapter has programs to enhance each of these pillars in the lives of our brothers. |
