  INPSYDE Programs Summer Institute

The INPSYDE Program Summer Institute is a two week enrichment program for Native American Junior and Senior High School Students, who are interested in pursuing a degree in psychology related disciplines. The Summer Institute is designed to help students develop strong academic foundations in psychology and science which are vital to success in college behavioral science and psychology courses.

The Summer Institute courses emphasize areas in Psychology such as History, Assessment, Psychotherapy, Cross-Cultural Psychology, Research Design, and Statistics. Students are required to live in a dormitory under the supervision of counselors on the campus of the University of North Dakota. This provides an opportunity for Summer Institute participants to experience campus life firsthand.

Interested applicants must complete the INPSYDE Program Application and be accepted to participate. All travel, room and board expenses are paid by INPSYDE. INPSYDE staff will use vans to make pick-up and return trips, and make sure all accepted applicants are provided with safe transportation.

Questions regarding Summer Institute should be directed to Casey McDougal, Summer Institute recruiter at (701) 777-4497, or Dr. Doug McDonald, INPSYDE Program Director at (701) 777-4495.
