The HEROS Board of Directors meets regularly to address needs and issues as it relates to American Indian students attending North Dakota colleges and universities.

HEROS hosts an annual conference to address current higher education trends and practices which fosters the recruitment, retention, and graduation of American Indian students.

HEROS awards academic scholarships to talented American Indian students attending a college or university in North Dakota.

HEROS annually recognizes an individual or group of individuals for their advocacy and dedication to supporting American Indian students pursuiug of a college degree.
