| MISSION STATEMENT
With the intent to form a cohesive and ubiquitous
alliance within the graduate student body of
the Department of Psychology at the University
of North Dakota, we, the founding members of
Graduate Resource Alliance for Students in Psychology,
hereby set forth the following as guiding philosophies
for the direction of organizational growth and
development.
Graduate Resource Alliance for Students in
Psychology will promote morale within the student
body of all graduate programs in psychology
at the University of North Dakota via adherence
to the goals set forth in the body of this document,
as well as the organizational constitution and
by-laws.
Graduate Resource Alliance for Students in
Psychology will facilitate interdepartmental
networking among student-colleagues at different
and multiple levels of graduate training via
methods delineated in the organizational constitution.
Graduate Resource Alliance for Students in
Psychology will actively generate revenue for
graduate student academic activities (specified
in the organizational constitution and by-laws)
via fundraising endeavors approved by the organizational
student members in conjunction with the governing
body (consistent with the organizational constitution
and by-laws).
Graduate Resource Alliance for Students in
Psychology will actively disseminate academic
information, relevant to students’ phase
of professional development, to all students
in all graduate programs in psychology at the
University of North Dakota.
Graduate Resource Alliance for Students in
Psychology will coordinate centralized student
lobbying efforts to bring to the attention of
the faculty any concerns about academic or professional
development issues within the department, and
will serve as a student-faculty liaison in student
efforts to resolve such concerns when deemed
necessary and appropriate by the organizational
student members.
Graduate Resource Alliance for Students in
Psychology will actively promote, encourage,
and engage in the open discussion and dissemination
of current and classic field-relevant literature
among all student-colleagues at all levels of
graduate training in psychology at the University
of North Dakota.
