The UND Prayer Group is made up of persons who covenant to pray at least once each week for the UND community.  Concerns, joys, and other prayer requests will be shared each Wednesday at group prayer gatherings and through an e-mail list.  Those requests may be submitted by any member of the group and should concern persons, activities, or needs of the UND community.  Members promise to not provide information to the group about others without their permission.  Members promise also to not share information provided to the Prayer Group without the permission of individuals mentioned in prayer requests.

Participation in the UND Prayer Group is open to all students, faculty, staff members, and administrators at the University of North Dakota.
 

The UND Prayer Group does not have meetings per se.  Rather, members have formed a covenant to join spiritually in prayer on Wednesdays.  An e-mail is received by members each Wednesday morning with suggested Scripture reading, prayer, and requests for intercessory prayer for that week.  Members will pray at a time and place convenient to that purpose.

Some members may form a small prayer group with co-workers, friends, and/or family members.  Members may choose also to gather at United Campus Ministry for prayer in each other's presence during the noon hour, as class or work schedules permit (late arrivals and early departures are expected).  Noon prayer time participants are also encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch so as to allow time for conversation and fellowship as well as prayer.

Requests for prayer are submitted to Jerry Bass, campus pastor, via e-mail or phone messages (see details at bottom of this page).  Requests received by 7:00 on Wednesday mornings will be included in a weekly e-mail list of prayer requests and will be included in prayer at the 7:30 and noon prayer times.  Prayer requests include needs for persons dealing with illness, accident, grief, or other personal/family concerns; persons who are celebrating joys in their personal or family life; and needs associated with UND campus groups and activities.  Prayer requests may also be related to concerns beyond the UND campus, particularly as those concerns may affect those within our campus community.
