Dear Parents:
As the President of the North Dakota Chapter of Delta Upsilon. Delta Upsilon was founded at Williams College in 1834 and at the very heart of its foundation is the idea of non-secrecy. There is no secret handshake, no secret motto, and no secret ritual. Everything that your son is involved in is open to you as well the rest of the public. In addition to being non-secret, Delta Upsilon is also a non-hazing fraternity. There is no place for hazing in today's fraternities and we ensure that it is not part of Delta Upsilon.

There are four founding principles that guide our Fraternity today as they did back in 1834: Promotion of Friendship, Diffusion of Liberal Culture, Development of Character, and the Advancement of Justice. These are ideals in which we all firmly believe and use to develop young men into gentlemen and leaders.
