Theresa grew up in North Dakota and received Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Social and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. She worked for the ND Department of Human Services for five years in several different roles, including as a case manager for adults with serious mental illness, before embarking on her graduate school career.
Theresa is currently in her fourth year as a doctoral student at UND. She is currently completing a practicum at an inpatient psychiatric hospital where she conducts assessments as well as individual and group therapy. She also works at a psychological clinic where she conducts ADHD and behavioral testing and assessments for children and adolescents. In addition, Theresa works as a facilitator of a treatment program for male offenders of domestic violence. Her primary interests include serious and persistent mental illness, trauma, domestic violence, eating disorders, body image, and psychological testing and assessment.
In her spare time, Theresa enjoys reading, music, movies, coffee, and spending time with friends and family, especially her sister, her beautiful niece, Emily, and her spunky Miniature Dachshund, Sophie. Theresa is the Editor-in-Chief of the SAS Newsletter.
