These programs - the word lists and the search utility
PATTERN.EXE - are the work of Ken Heffner [HEFF] who
compiled them, and made them available to members of
the ACA, in 1992.

To use HEFF's program PATTERN.EXE [MS-DOS]:

1: Unzip the appropriate language file into
   a directory on your HD. You should wind up
   with a series of PATTx and NPATx files plus
   the program file PATTERN.EXE.

2: Type PATTERN <Enter>

Note: In some of the pattern.<language>.zip files
PATTERN.EXE may not be present. If this occurs then 
download a .zip file that does include PATTERN.EXE
[e.g. pattern.english.zip] and copy the .exe file
over to the appropriate subdirectory.
