Pro-life Bracelets: It has been suggested that UND CFL look into buying blue "Prolife" livestrong style band as a fundraiser. Various members are also going to try to get help from some related organizations, such as the UND Knights of Columbus Council.
Newspaper: We are currently looking into a campus-wide pro-life newspaper. NDSU started one last year with great success, and this year it is even sustaining itself without NDSU CFL's help.
Women's Pregnancy Center: The Grand Forks Women's Pregnancy Center is holding thier first annual banquet at the Ramada Inn. It's going to be on Oct. 13 at 6:30pm. Because of this, there will be no meeting that day. Anyone attending needs to RSVP by Oct. 6 and if you need a ride please let Sarah know so she can make arrangements.
Bible Study: Pastor Mark Buchhop is teaching a Bible study on embryonic stem cell research. The Bible study will be held at Wittenburg Chapel on Oct. 16 at 7:00pm. Everyone is invited to benefit from this great opportunity.
Pro-life week: Nov. 5-10 is Pro-life week, and we have lots of ways members can help out. One activity is going to be the Union baby shower, where students can drop off baby products for St. Gianna's Home in Warsaw. We also discussed distributing large baby bottles for money to local businesses and churches. It also came up that this might be a good time to sell the bracelets previously mentioned.
Popcorn: We made $100 from popcorn sales in the Union. Thank you to everyone who volunteered your time.
Pro-life Article: Joshua received an email from a pastor in Oregon, recently. Pastor Jim Feeney of Phoenix has given us permission to reproduce an article of his for our uses, as long as all attributions are retained. It was voted that the article would be allowed to be put on the website. To read his article, click here. Thank you, Pastor Feeney.
Umbilical Cord Blood: Sarah has done some research into umbilical cord donating, as an alternative to embryonic stem cell research. To read what she found, click here.
