Here are some examples of some of the types/styles of exam questions you'll see in this class.
1. Explain the meaning of the following terms. Try to write enough to reveal your level of understanding. Also be clear and complete enough for your explanation to be understood by anyone.
a) inclination
b) redshift
2. What is one of these (photograph)? Explain/teach someone about these things. Assume they have never
seen one or heard of one before. Say more than a little about them.
3. What evidence reveals (some conclusion). In other words, tell how science has reached a certain conclusion.
What is the evidence. What is the logic. For instance, what evidence reveals that the crater Copernicus is
younger than the lunar highlands.
4. What causes a comet to develop a tail? Explain the processes involved.
