Internet Access

Conference speakers and participants may access the internet at the computer labs located on the third floor and lower level of the Memorial Union as well as on the third floor of the Chester Fritz Library. The Chester Fritz Library is building 29 on the campus map and is located about one block west of the Memorial Union on University Avenue. All of these labs have Web browsers as well as telnet capability. Signs at each lab indicate that the labs are to be used only by University of North Dakota faculty and students. The university computer lab manager, however, has granted Midwest Geometry Conference speakers and participants permission to use the above three labs for internet access on April 26, 27, and 28, 2002. The lab manager will alert the lab monitors to this fact. The Chester Fritz lab and the lab in the lower level of the Union are closed on Sunday mornings.

Both talks will take place at 3:30 P.M. in Room 309 of Witmer Hall and are entitled “Foundations of Modern Geometry.” These talks will cover a few of the basic terms and concepts that will arise during the conference.

Bill Schwalm will also present an introductory talk entitled “Physics and Knots” at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, April 22, in Room 115, Witmer Hall.

Announcements posted in Witmer Hall will provide additional information on all of these talks.
