I. Work your way through all of the materials presented in:

• A Student's Guide to Research with the WWW.

II. As you read, make careful notes on typical Web page structure as well as the evaluation criteria for assessing Web page relevance, authority, and accuracy. (You will need to apply this information to the Web pages you will create later on in the course.)

III. Answer the following questions and submit your typed answers by next week's class.

1. Name and briefly describe the four basic types of Web pages (as identified by Alexander and Tate).

2. Give the title and URL of a music-oriented page for each of the four types of Web pages. To answer this question, you should first work your way through the Web search strategies section on the "Student's Guide to Research with the WWW" site.

3. Create a citation in the Humanities style for each of the following Web resources:
   • Quotes About Music Therapy
   • Marian Anderson - Her Music
   • New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians Online
