Grading Note: For a grade of B or better on each scale, you must play it hands together. A well played scale that is performed hands separately will receive a grade of C. A well played scale that is performed in one hand only will receive a grade of D. Note that a well played scale is even in touch and in tempo and has correct pitches as well as correct fingering. |

You may use the left hand given by the composer or you may construct one of your own (i.e., one that is based on the harmonies of the piece). Extra Credit - 10 points Using expanded blues pentascales in the right hand and open 7ths in the left hand, improvise on a standard 12-bar blues progression in 4/4 time. You choose the key.
