Chapter 7 Assignments

These assignments count for 30% of your final grade.

NOTE: This is a Thursday.

Technique

  • C major scale, two octaves ascending and descending without repeat of the top note.
  • G major scale, two octaves ascending and descending without repeat of the top note.
  • A major scale, two octaves ascending and descending without repeat of the top note.

Grading Note: For a grade of B or better on each scale, you must play it hands together. A well played scale that is performed hands separately will receive a grade of C. A well played scale that is performed in one hand only will receive a grade of D. Note that a well played scale is even in touch and in tempo and has correct pitches as well as correct fingering.
