| General Comments: | The melody in the upper woodwinds are good for practicing long smooth melodic passages, while the brass play in a marcato style throughout the piece. This is a good example to the students of how important the accompaniment can be to a piece of music. There are both sustaining and rhythmic accompaniment sections like at letter J. Percussion parts are not very complex, but depending on the number of timpani there may be a need to change pitches during the piece. | |
