General Comments: Mr. Weasel Goes Latin is a good piece for introducing young players to the concept of Latin-style rhythms. This music uses one theme throughout the piece, with an ostinato beneath the theme. It employs accented beats, as well as the use of the bar repeat. Also included with the piece is a keyboard rehearsal part, specially designed for the band teacher needing to help out the students with their parts. Overall, it is a great piece.
