| General Comments: | This concerto, which was written in 1803 for keyed trumpet, was originally in E Major. Hummel studied with Mozart prior to writing this piece. This composition is the most popular of Hummel's work. The piece is a real challenge technically for the soloist, but the band should listen carefully to the soloist to acquire the Classical balance. | |

| General Comments: | This is a great arrangement of the Finale movement from the Trumpet Concerto in Eb Major. The piece is suitable for an ensemble that cannot handle a difficult concerto accompaniment. The trumpet solo ranges from concert Bb to high Bb, and the cadenza has an optional high C. This piece will help both the band and soloist to become more sensitive to each other. | |
