| General Comments: | This 1992 arrangement of the 1876 classic features three movments: The Swan Lake; Dance Of The Little Swans, and; Wedding Dance. The first theme is elegantly introduced by the upper woodwinds and is then passed on to the low brass. Many of the ranges are expanded, but the low brass section is not really challenged in this way. The piece becomes quite intense at the very end with rhythmic activity in the woodwinds. Making this piece dramatic is the greatest and most rewarding challenge of this arrangement. | |
