Level: 4
Composer/Arranger: Steven Reineke
Publisher: C.L. Barnhouse, Co.
Classification: 20th century
Instrumentation: Full

General Comments: This is an excellent work by a young composer who is slowly becoming popular. Reineke takes one theme and uses it throughout the band in different voices. There are a lot of sixteenth-note runs in the woodwind section, therefore, they should be technically competent. There are also some great sounding French Horn parts written over the top of the melody in several places. This piece encourages moderate independence in the band with flowing lines and stylistic contrasts. If you are looking for a good piece that will challenge your players, this is a good choice.
