Title: Preludium and Fugue
Level: Grade III
Composer/Arranger: Girolamo Frescobaldi/Louis Brunelli
Publisher: Chappell and Co.
Classification: Preludium; Fugue
Instrumentation: Full
Source: Recorded Concert Band Music, Band Music Notes, Popplers music score
General Comments: Originally earl-Baroque keyboard music, the Preludium is taken from the introduction to Tocatta in D Minor and the Fugue from Fugue in G Minor for Organ. The piece begins at a suggested Moderato tempo and eventually moves to Allegro non troppo. This arrangement is reminiscent of organ music written by Bach and transcribed by Leopold Stowkowski.
