General Comments: This work was commissioned by the Christian Music Association of Florida. Celebration for Band is a medley of three hymns; Ye Watchers And Ye Holy Ones, Sinner Please Don't Llet dis Harve' Pass, Let Us Break Bread Together. This piece starts with everyone playing the melody of the first hymn. Then a series of solos accompanied by the low brass. The second melody is a spiritual played by a solo trumpet. The third and last melody of the piece is marked maestoso and is scored very full to the end of the piece.
