| General Comments: | A minor accompaniment starts under the theme in the upper voices. The melody is moved around in different voices while the minor accompaniment continues to change. The percussionists start off the march section which finally ends in a major chord in the last measure. This piece is an excellent way to introduce the traditional modal harmonies to your students and expose them to something besides the traditional major tonalities. | |
