| General Comments: | This song introduces some Latin American elements in a North American way. There is an option of featuring a marimba player, a small chorus, or guitars while leaving the option of having no soloist. The range of the piece is reasonable while the syncopation that is found throughout the piece and the constant meter changes will challenge the students. Harmonically it is a fairly simple piece while the syncopation, meter changes and the coordination of the soloist can make this piece not only challenging, but enjoyable for the students to play. | |
