General Comments: This is an arrangement of the American revolutionary song, Battle Hymn of the Republic. This piece is for concert band and choir. The piece starts out with a fanfare in the trumpets that is like a fugue in four voices. Then the choir sings a verse of the hymn accompanied by the clarinets and the bass instruments. The majority of the piece is marked maestoso with numerous fanfares in the brasses. The piece ends with a with a meno moso section that gives it a feeling of finality.
