Title: Hungarian Dance No. 5
Level: Grade III/IV
Composer/Arranger: Johannes Brahms/Arr. Robert Longfield
Publisher: C.L. Barnhouse
Classification: Dance
Instrumentation: Full
Source: Popplers music score and notes
General Comments: First published in 1869, this rhythmically active piece established the international Brahms. The piece is known for having been arranged for many different settings. Dramatic and festive, the work has some wonderful percussion coloring, but this should not dominate the other instruments.
