| General Comments: | The piece Eventide portrays the sunset musically. The changes in tonality, at times with no tonal center, depict the changing colors at nightfall. Finally, the piece concludes on a C major triad, for a peacefull night. Technically, this is a difficult piece to put together. Many Soli sections are in the work, and the lines will take some effort. A good thing is the rather slow tempo. This would be a wonderful piece for the instuction of color. | |
