General Comments: Dorian Rhapsody is a well written piece that could be used by any high school and most junior highs. This piece uses the Dorian mode typical af renaissance music. This piece is in three sections, the first and third are fast and the middle is slow and lyrical. The dorian melody is usually doubled throughout the band except for a nice solo in the bells in the first section. Your band will like playing this piece because of its unusual sound.
