General Comments: The low reeds in their lower registrers are used extensively throughout this piece. Like much of Grainger's music this was originally scored for military band. This piece was adapted for modern band by Erickson. The melody in this piece is a quote from the English folk tune " Over the Hills and Far Away". Grainger uses lush harmonies to embellish the old melody.
