Ms. Sarah Olimb (nee Fischer) - MS student Sarah earned a BS degree in ecology from the University of Georgia. Prior to joining my lab she worked in a marine biogeochemistry lab, surveyed mammals, birds, herptiles and vegetation in South Carolina, researched Allegheny Woodrats in West Virginia, and sampled small mammal communities on prairie fragments in North Dakota/Minnesota. For her Master's project Sarah investigated the impact of prairie fragment characters (size, shape, etc.) and the surrounding landscape (types of landuse) on the insect communities of prairie fragments. Sarah graduated in Spring 2006 and is the GIS Lab Manager/Community GIS Program Coordinator at American Wildlands. |
