Welcome to my website! I am an associate professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of North Dakota.

The courses I teach include Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods in Psychology, Behavior Modification and Therapy, Psychology of Learning, and Theories of Learning.

My research falls under the heading of the experimental analysis of behavior, an area that is devoted to the study of environment-behavior interactions. Within this area I study the basic behavioral processes of both humans and nonhumans (rats and mice). Although the research focuses on basic processes and takes place in a laboratory setting, I believe this work has real-world implications for a variety of problem behaviors. I am as comfortable working with students interested primarily in clinical psychology as I am with students interested primarily in experimental psychology.
