The Non-Traditional Student Services program has information that will help with your transition into college life. Read below for more information or download our booklet (PDF format) for a complete resource guide.
Who is a non-traditional student?
Undergraduate or graduate who has one or more of the following characteristics:
- Has worked full time or is working full time while in school
- Married, divorced, or widowed
- A parent (perhaps "single") or has dependants
- Returning after being away for several years
- Commutes from out-of-town
- Military veterans
- Interrupted the pursuit of higher education
- Transfer/International students
The term "non-traditional student" is not a label, nor does it entail any special status or priveleges. We use the term "non-traditional" to target information to the students who, for a variety of reasons, have circumstances that may be more difficult to access information on campus. Our services welcome all students in search of assistance or guidance.
