Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee
1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was
held on Wednesday, February 9, Room 305, Twamley Hall.
Tom Zeidlik presided.
Those present were Connie Borboa, Mary Cutler, Mary Drewes, Connie Gagelin, Jim
Haskins, Roxanne Hurley, Art Jones, Nancy Krogh,
Chuck Moretti, David Relling,
Sandra Short, and Tom Zeidlik.
2. Minutes of February 2 meeting. Jim Haskins moved to approve the minutes from
the February 2 meeting. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried
unanimously.
3. Mary Cutler and Art Jones presented BFA with major in Visual Arts, B.A. with
major in Visual Arts, Minor in Visual Arts (Studio), and Minor in Art History
change in program requirements requests; Art 112, 114, 212, 272, 280, 380, 381,
382, 383, 400, 401, 402, 403, 404, 405, 406, 407, 413, 417, 423, 424, 430, 480,
481, 483, 491 new course requests; Art 108, 122, 231, 232, 270, 302, 303, 304,
305, 306, 307, 311, 322, 323, 332, 333, 341, 343, 345, 351, 353, 355, 357, 365,

course change requests. Mary Cutler moved to approve all of the requests. The
motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
4. Sandra Short presented ATSC 251 course change request and moved approval. The
motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
5. David Relling presented B.M. in Music Education change in program
requirements request; Musc 440, 441 new course requests; Musc 444, 447, 459
course change requests; course description changes only: Musc 153, 253, Musc
154, 254, 354, 454, Musc 155, 255, 355, 455, Musc 260, 261, 263, 270, 271, 273,
274, 276 course change requests; Musc 264 course change request and moved
approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
6. Jim Haskins presented CSci 120, 170, 260, 451 course change requests; CSci
389 and 457 new course requests; Minor in Computer Science change in program
requirements request.
Jim Haskins moved to approve CSci 260 and 451 course change requests; CSci 389
new course request; Minor in Computer Science change in program requirements
request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
Jim Haskins moved to table CSci 120 and 170 course change requests and CSci 457
new course request pending conversations among Computer Science, Information
Systems, Technology, and the
voted upon and carried unanimously.
7. Chuck Moretti presented SpSt 300 new course request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
8. Tom Zeidlik presented major in Air Traffic Control, major in Airport
Management, major in Flight Education, major in Aviation Management, major in
Aviation Systems Management, minor in Professional Flight, minor in Aviation
Management change in program requirements; Avit 104, 183, 299, 301 course
Deletion requests; Avit 308, 221, 243, 244, 245, 421, 430, 464, 465, 490, 499
course change requests; Avit 491, 468 new course requests and moved approval of
all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
9. Roxanne Hurley presented CSci 101, 101T, 160, 161, 427, 445, 446, 452, 465
course change requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded,
voted upon and carried unanimously.
