Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee

January 30, 2003

1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, January 30, in Room 305, Twamley Hall. Ralph Woehle and Doug Marshall presided.

2. Those present were Connie Borboa, Judy Bruce, Mary Drewes, Daniel Erickson, Sara Hanhan, Jim Haskins, Arnie Johnson, Nancy Krogh, Evelyn Labun, Doug Marshall, Chuck Moretti, and Ralph Woehle.

3. Minutes from the January 23 meeting were approved.

4. Jim Haskins moved to remove EE 509 course change request from the table. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

Jim Haskins, along with Arnie Johnson from Electrical Engineering, presented EE 509 course change request. Jim Haskins moved to approve EE 509 course deletion and EE 509 new course subject to receiving correct paperwork. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

5. Jim Haskins moved to remove Nurs 535, 555, 560, 562, 565, and 576 course change requests from the table. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

Daniel Erickson presented Nurs 535, 555, 560, 565, 562, and 576 course change requests and moved to approve Nurs 535, 555, 560, and 565. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

Daniel Erickson moved to table Nurs 562 and 576. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

6. Chuck Moretti presented EFR 515, 500, 503, 506, 507, 509, 510, 511, 513, 520, 517 and 584 course change requests and EFR 514 course deletion request and moved approval of all the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

7. Doug Marshall presented Combined Program in Chemical, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering change in program requirements request and moved approval of the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

8. Evelyn Labun presented Geol 318 and 321 course change requests and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

9. Judy Bruce presented CE 412 course change request. Ralph Woehle moved to table the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

10. Ralph Woehle presented GeoE 323 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

11. Ralph Woehle presented Engr 100 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

12. The meeting adjourned at 4:10.
