Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee

February 27, 2003

1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, February 27, in Room 305, Twamley Hall. Doug Marshall presided.

2. Those present were Connie Borboa, Judy Bruce, Mary Drewes, Daniel Erickson, Sara Hanhan, Jim Haskins, Evelyn Labun, and Doug Marshall.

3. Jim Haskins moved to approve the minutes from the February 20 meeting. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

4. Jim Haskins moved to remove Atmospheric Sciences change in program requirements request from the table. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

Daniel Erickson presented Atmospheric Sciences change in program requirements and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

5. Daniel Erickson presented Nurs 320 course change request. Daniel Erickson moved to approve this request pending the College of Nursing filing the proper paperwork. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

6. Daniel Erickson presented N&D 340 and 498 course change requests and N&D 220 new course request and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

7. Daniel Erickson presented Nutrition and Dietetics Community Nutrition major change in program requirements request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

8. Daniel Erickson presented Nutrition and Dietetics - Dietetics major change in program requirements and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

9. Judy Bruce presented T&L 313 course change request and moved to approve the course pending review by Communication Science and Disorders. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

10. Judy Bruce presented T&L 350, 386, 400, and 460 course change requests.

Judy Bruce moved to approve T&L 350, 386, and 460 course change requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

Judy Bruce moved to table T&L 400 and request clarification regarding prerequisites. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

11. Judy Bruce presented EHD Kindergarten Endorsement change in program requirements request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

12. Judy Bruce presented EHD Early Childhood Education Minor change in program requirements request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

13. Jim Haskins presented Entr 201, 301, 302, 387, 405 and 410 course change requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

14. Jim Haskins presented Fin 340 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

15. Evelyn Labun presented Avit 101 new course request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

16. Evelyn Labun presented Avit 480 new course request and Avit 409 course deletion and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

17. Evelyn Labun presented Avit 103 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

18. Doug Marshall presented Avit 250, 260, 261, 302, 308, 309, 323, 327, 362, 363, 385, 402, 403, 405, 407, 411, 428, 429, 430, 464, 465, 481 course change requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

19. Evelyn Labun presented BBA: Airport Management, BSA: Air Traffic Control, BSA: Aviation Systems Management, BSA: Commercial Aviation, BSA: Flight Education and Minor in Aviation Management change in program requirements requests. Evelyn Labun moved approval of all the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
