Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee

October 22, 2009

1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, October 22 in the Memorial Room of the Memorial Union. Liz Tyree presided. Those present were Suzanne Anderson, Connie Borboa, Connie Gagelin, Bonni Gourneau, Richard Millspaugh, Jeremiah Neubert, Mary Riske, and Liz Tyree.

2. Minutes October 8. Connie Gagelin moved to approve the minutes. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

3. Richard Millspaugh presented Geology 256 new course request and B.S. with a major in Geology change in program requirements request and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

4. Richard Millspaugh presented Geological Engineering 417 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

5. Richard Millspaugh presented Geological Engineering 323 course change request and B.S. in Geological Engineering change in program requirements request and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

6. Mary Riske presented Biology 312R new course request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

7. Mary Riske presented Chemistry 121 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

8. Mary Riske presented B.S. with major in Chemistry and B.S. in Chemistry change in program requirements requests and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

9. Bonni Gourneau presented Geography 250 new course request, Geography 455 course change request and change in program requirements request and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

10. Liz Tyree presented Technology 492 and 440 new course requests and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

11. Liz Tyree presented OSEH 440 course deletion request and Industrial Technology change in program requirements request and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

12. English 235 was removed from the table. Richard Millspaugh presented English 235 new course request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

13. The meeting adjourned at 4:05 p.m.
