Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee

January 22, 2007

1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was held on Monday, January 22, 2007, Room 414, Twamley Hall. David Relling presided. Those present were Suzanne Anderson, Connie Borboa, Matt Cavalli, Connie Gagelin, Devon Hansen, Roxanne Hurley, Assion Lawson-Body, David Relling, Charlie Robertson and Sandra Short.

2. January 8 minutes. Roxanne Hurley moved to approve the January 8 minutes. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

3. Devon Hansen presented Theatre Arts 240, 241, 242, 304,341, and 342 new course requests. Charlie Robertson moved to disapprove the requests because of duplication of courses. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried with one abstention.

4. Devon Hansen presented Chem 540 course deletion and M.S. in Chemistry thesis option change in program requirements requests (2) and Ph.D. in Chemistry change in program requirements requests (2). Connie Gagelin moved to approve all of the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

5. Matt Cavalli presented CIEN 525 new course request. Connie Gagelin moved to approve the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

6. Charlie Robertson presented CSci 363 new course request, B.S. in Computer Science change in program requirements request and CSci 242, 351, 397, 446, 455 and 463 course change requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

7. Charlie Robertson presented Avit 503, 510, 512, 515, 516, 595, 997, 988 course change requests and Avit 520 and 587 new course requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

8. David Relling presented Ph.D. and M.S. in Philosophy, Pharmacology Physiology and Therapeutics change in program requirements requests and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

9. Charlie Robertson presented Avit 102L, 221L, 222L, 323L, 325L and 414L. Connie Gagelin moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

10. Sandra Short moved to remove Hum 212 from the table. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

Sandra Short presented Hum 212 new course request and moved to approve. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

11. David Relling moved to remove Psyc 421 and Psyc 521 from the table. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

David Relling presented Psyc 421 and Psyc 521 course change requests and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

12. The meeting adjourned at 5:15 p.m.
