of the University Curriculum Committee
1. A meeting of the
University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, November 20, Twamley
Hall, Room 404. Charlie Robertson presided. Those present were Suzanne
Anderson, Connie Borboa, Kate Campbell, Connie Gagelin, Bonni Gourneau, Devon
Hansen, Naima Kaabouch, Mary Riske, Charlie Robertson, Seinquis Slater, and Liz
Tyree. Guest: Manohar Kulkarni.
2. Minutes November 13. Seinquis
Slater moved to approve the minutes. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
3. Bonni Gourneau
presented Counseling 529 course change request and moved approval. The motion
was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
4. Bonni Gourneau
presented French 101, 102, 201, 202, 301, 307 and 340 course change requests
and Fren 304 course deletion request and moved approval of all. The motion was
seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
5. Liz Tyree presented
Norwegian change in program requirements request; Norw 350 new course request;
Norw 403 course change request and moved approval of all. The motion was
seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
6. Devon Hansen presented
Biol 367 course change request. Request was tabled.
7. Devon Hansen presented
Geography change in program requirements request; Geog 262, 271, 352, 374L,
374, 378, 457, 471, 471L course change requests; Geog 459, 476 new course
requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
8. Kate Campbell presented
Finance 321, 340, 360 and 440 course change requests and moved approval. The
motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
9. Mary Riske presented T&L
500, 501, 502, 503, 504, 505, 506, 507, 508, 510, 511, 512, 514, 551, 552, 554,
555, 556, 557, 560, 561, 562, 563, 564, 565, 578 course change requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded,
voted upon and carried unanimously.
10. Seinquis Slater moved
to add Mechanical Engineering 206 to the agenda. The motion was seconded, voted
upon and carried unanimously.
Manohar Kulkarni presented
ME 206 new course request; ME 483 course change request and Mechanical
Engineering change in program requirements request.
Seinquis Slater moved to
approve all of the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried
unanimously.
11. The next meeting is
scheduled for December 11.
