1. A
meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, February
20, in Room 305, Twamley Hall. Doug Marshall presided.
2.
Those present were Connie Borboa, Judy Bruce, Mary Drewes, Daniel Erickson,
Sara Hanhan, Jim Haskins, Evelyn Labun, Doug Marshall, Chuck Moretti, and Ralph
Woehle.
3. Jim
Haskins moved to approve the minutes from the February 13 meeting. The motion
was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
4.
Chuck Moretti presented Cytotechnology change in program requirements request.
Ralph Woehle moved to approve the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon,
and carried unanimously.
5.
Chuck Moretti presented CiEn 483 course change request. Jim Haskins moved to approve the request.
The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.
6. Doug
Marshall presented the Minor in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies new
program request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and
carried unanimously.
7. Doug
Marshall presented CSD 363 new course request and moved approval. The motion
was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.
8. Doug
Marshall presented Department of Accounting and Business Law department title
change request. Jim Haskins moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted
upon, and carried unanimously.
9. Doug
Marshall presented Acct 405 and 406 course change requests. Jim Haskins moved to approve the requests.
The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

Evelyn Labun presented Soc 435 course change request and moved approval. The
motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

Evelyn Labun presented Soc 250 course change request and moved approval. The
motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.
12.
Evelyn Labun presented Communication Sciences and Disorders change in program
requirements request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon
and carried unanimously.
13.
Daniel Erickson presented AtSc 310, 360, 370, 3974, 420, 497 course change
requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
14.
Daniel Erickson presented Atmospheric Sciences change in program requirements
request. Jim Haskins moved to table the request pending additional information. The motion was seconded, voted
upon and carried unanimously.
15.
Daniel Erickson presented AtSc 355 and 455 new course requests and moved
approval. The motion was seconded,
voted upon and carried unanimously.
16.
Judy Bruce presented the B.S. with major in Computer Science change in program
requirements request; Csci 384, 397, 399, 446, 451, and 463 course change
requests; Csci 411 and 467 course deletion requests and moved approval of all
the requests. The motion was seconded,
voted upon and carried unanimously.
17.
Ralph Woehle presented the B.S. in Occupational Safety and Environmental Health
change in program requirements request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
18.
Ralph Woehle presented the B.S. Industrial Technology: Industrial Management
change in programs requirements request; the Industrial Technology: Technology
Teacher Certification change in program requirements request; IT 343, 363, 423,
and 441 course deletion requests; IT 373(353), 433, 450, and 451 new course
requests; IT 302, 322, 442, and 452 course change requests and moved approval
of all of the requests. The motion was
seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
After
discussion with department chair, requested course number of IT 353, a formerly
used number, was changed to the new number of IT 373.
19.
Ralph Woehle presented IT 311 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
20. Jim
Haskins presented Chemistry Master of Science non-thesis option change in
program requirements request, Chemistry Master of Science thesis option and
Doctor of Philosophy change in program requirements request and Chem 532 and
534 course change requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
21. Jim
Haskins presented Engr 201, 202, 203 and 460 course change requests and moved
approval of all. The motion was
seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
22. The
meeting adjourned at 5:35.
