Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee

April 20, 2006

1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, April 20, Room 404, Twamley Hall. David Relling presided. Those present were Connie Borboa, Matt Cavalli, Mary Drewes, Connie Gagelin, Ginny Guido, Roxanne Hurley, Assion Lawson-Body, Kanishka Marasinghe, and David Relling.

2. Minutes April 13, 2006. Roxanne Hurley moved to approve the minutes from the April 13 meeting. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

3. Kanishka Marasinghe presented Hum 300 new course request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

4. Roxanne Hurley and Ginny Guido presented the RN to MS new program request. Roxanne Hurley moved to approve the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

Roxanne Hurley and Ginny Guido presented Nurs 350 new course request. Roxanne Hurley moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

5. Kanishka Marasinghe presented Art 367 new course request and moved approval contingent upon the Art Department turning in the course deletion for Art 261. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

6. Assion Lawson-Body presented IT 302, 322, 450, 452 course change requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

7. Assion Lawson-Body presented BBA with major in Management change in program requirements request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

8. Chair Elections. Roxanne Hurley moved to appoint David Relling as 2006-2007 Chair of the University Curriculum Committee. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously. David Relling moved to appoint Roxanne Hurley as Vice Chair. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

9. The meeting adjourned at 4:25 p.m.
