Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee

 

October 18, 2007

 

1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, October 18, 2007, Twamley Hall, Room 404.  Matt Cavalli presided. Those present were Suzanne Anderson, Connie Borboa, Matt Cavalli, Connie Gagelin, Bonni Gourneau, Devon Hansen, Assion Lawson-Body, Liz Tyree, and Jonathan Voigt.

 

2. Minutes October 11. Connie Gagelin moved to approve the minutes from October 11. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

3. Devon Hansen presented Spanish 101, 102, 201, 202, 304, 307, 308, 309, 310, 311, 312, 420, 421, 422, 450, 461 and 462 course change requests and moved to approve all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

Spanish major and minor change in program requirements requests.  Connie Gagelin moved to approve the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

4. Biology 422 course change request.  Connie Gagelin moved to approve the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

5. English 227 course change request.

   German 407 and 408 course change requests.

 

Connie Gagelin moved to approve the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried with one abstention.

 

6. Assion Lawson-Body presented Language 318 and 319 course change requests and moved approval.  The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

7. Assion Lawson-Body presented Chinese 498 new course request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

8. Bonni Gourneau presented Psychology change in program requirements request and Psyc 335 and 365 new course requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

9. Computer Science 297, 397, 435 and 457 course change requests.

Assion Lawson-Body moved to approve all the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

10. The meeting adjourned at 4:10 p.m.
