Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee
September 16, 2004
1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was
held on Thursday, September 16, Room 404, Edna Twamley Room, Twamley Hall.
Chuck Moretti presided.
2. Those present were Harmon Abrahamson, Connie Borboa,
Mary Cutler, Siegfried Detke, Mary Drewes, Jim Haskins, Nancy Krogh, Chuck
Moretti, David Relling, Sandra Short, Steven Westereng, and Tom Zeidlik.
3. Minutes for September 9, 2004. Jim Haskins moved to approve the minutes from
September 9. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
4. Chuck Moretti moved to remove the Chemistry requests
from the table. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
Harmon Abrahamson and Chuck Moretti presented Chem 508
new course reuest; Chem 509 course change request; change in program
requirements requests for Chemistry MS non-thesis option, Chemistry MS thesis
option and Chemistry PHD option. Jim
Haskins moved to approve all of the requests.
The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
5. Siegfried Detke and Tom Zeiklik presented BMB 533 new
course request; BMB 531 and 532 course deletion requests; change in program
requirements requests for the M.D/Ph.D., Ph.D., and M.S. in Biochemistry and
Molecular Biology. Tom Zeidlik moved
approval of all of the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
6. David Relling moved to remove the Athletic Training
requests from the table. The motion was
seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
Steven Westereng and David Relling presented BS in
Athletic Training change in program requirements request; FMED 211, 311, 411,
and 320L new course requests; and FMED 213, 313, 413, 208 and 208L course
change requests. David Relling moved
approval of all of the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
7. Jim Haskins presented PA 599, 589, and 588 course
change requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon
and carried unanimously.
8. Jim Haskins presented PA 530 course deletion and moved
to table the request pending the receipt of additional information. The motion was seconded, voted upon and
carried unanimously.
Upon receipt of additional information the PA 530
deletion request was voted upon through e-mail.
The requested passed unanimously.
8. Sandra Short presented Microbiology and Immunology
change in program requirements request and moved approval. The motion was
seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
9. Mary Cutler presented Psyc 451/551 course change
request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried
unanimously.
10. Mary Cutler presented T&L 585 new course request
and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried
unanimously.
11. The meeting adjourned at 3:05.
