of the University Curriculum Committee
1. A meeting of the
University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, October 16, Twamley Hall, Room 404. Charlie Robertson presided. Those
present were Suzanne Anderson, Connie Borboa, Kate
Campbell, Connie Gagelin, Bonni
Gourneau, Devon Hansen, Mary Riske, Charlie Robertson,
and Liz Tyree.
2. Minutes October 9. Liz
Tyree moved to approve the minutes. The
motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
3. Mary Riske presented Psychology
405 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted
upon and carried unanimously.
4. Mary Riske presented
Sociology 331 course change request and moved approval. The motion was
seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
5. Devon Hansen presented
Theatre Arts 242 course change request and moved approval. The motion was
seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
6. Devon Hansen presented
Geography 334 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded,
voted upon and carried unanimously.
7. Devon Hansen presented
Humanities 271L course change request and moved approval. The motion was
seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
8. Liz Tyree presented Biology
333 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted
upon and carried unanimously.
9. Liz Tyree presented Biology
change in program requirements request; Biol 415 new
course request; Biol 333 course change request; and Biol 338L, 370 and 371 course deletion requests and moved
approval of all. The motion was
seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
10. Bonni
Gourneau presented BSED with majors in Early
Childhood Education, Middle Level Education and Elementary Education change in
program requirements requests and moved approval of all. The motion was
seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
11. Bonni
Gourneau presented Counseling 250 new course request
and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried
unanimously.
12. Charlie Robertson
presented Minor in Linguistics new program request. Request was tabled.
13. BSED with combined
major in Elementary and Middle Level Education program deletion was removed
from the table. Bonni Gourneau
presented the request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon
and carried unanimously.
14. Geology 205 new course
request was removed from the table. Liz Tyree moved to approve the request. The
motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
15. The next meeting is
scheduled for October 30.
