Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee

February 13, 2003

1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, February 13, in Room 305, Twamley Hall. Doug Marshall presided.

2. Those present were Connie Borboa, Mary Drewes, Daniel Erickson, Jim Haskins, Nancy Krogh, Evelyn Labun, Doug Marshall, Chuck Moretti, and Ralph Woehle.

3. Jim Haskins moved to approve the minutes from the January 30 meeting. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

4. Jim Haskins moved to remove Nurs 562 and 576 course change requests from the table. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

Daniel Erickson presented Nurs 562 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

Doug Marshall will contact the Nursing Department and ask them to consider contacting the Political Science Department regarding the possibility of a permanent course number for the Nursing course currently offered under Pols 593 Special Topics.

Daniel Erickson presented Nurs 576 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

5. Jim Haskins moved to remove CE 412 course change request from the table. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

Chuck Moretti presented CE 412 course change request. Ralph Woehle moved to approve the request. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

6. Chuck Moretti presented CE 414, 416, and 482 course change requests. Jim Haskins moved to approve all of the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

7. Doug Marshall presented Art 200 course change request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

8. Doug Marshall presented Art 210, 211, 412, 414, and 419 course change requests and moved approval of all of the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

9. Evelyn Labun presented the Post-Master's Certificate Program in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing new program request. Ralph Woehle moved to table the request with recommendation Nursing work with Linda Hurst in the Provost's Office regarding proposal issues. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

10. Daniel Erickson presented Soc 353 course deletion and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

11. Ralph Woehle presented Phys 251/251L, 252/252L, 253/253L, 317, 318, 324, 327, 328, 428, 431, 432, 434 and 437 course change requests and moved approval of all of the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

12. Jim Haskins presented Math 315 new course request and Math 353 course deletion request and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
