Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee
1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was
held on Wednesday, April 13, Room 305, Twamley Hall. Chuck Moretti presided. Those present were Mark
Askelson, Connie Borboa, Connie Gagelin, Jim Haskins, Roxanne Hurley, Chuck
Moretti, Michael Poellot, David Relling, and Sandra Short.
2. Minutes of March 23 meeting. Jim Haskins moved to approve the minutes
from the March 23 meeting. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried with
one abstention.
3. Roxanne Hurley, Mark Askelson and Michael Poellot presented the Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences new academic program request, Aero 530, AtSc 518, 548, 550, 560 and 565 new course requests. Roxanne Hurley moved to approve all of the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
4. Sandra Short presented A&S 250 course deletion request; A&S 294 course change request and A&S 299 and 499 new course requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
5. David Relling presented Biol 534 and 571 course change requests and moved
approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
6. The English Department submitted paperwork for the deletion of Engl 305, 411 and 412 course deletions per Committee request. Roxanne Hurley moved to approve the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.
