Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee

 

October 11, 2007

 

1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, October 11, 2007, Twamley Hall, Room 305.  Matt Cavalli presided. Those present were Suzanne Anderson, Connie Borboa, Matt Cavalli, Connie Gagelin, Bonni Gourneau, Devon Hansen, Assion Lawson-Body, Charlie Robertson, Liz Tyree, Jonathan Voigt and Harold Wilde.

 

2. Charlie Robertson moved to approve the minutes from August 30. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

3. Assion Lawson-Body and Harold Wilde presented Master of Accountancy new program request and Acct 501 course change request; Acct 503, 505, 506, 510 course deletion requests; Acct 508, 996 and 997 new course requests. Assion Lawson-Body moved to approve all of the requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

4. Charlie Robertson presented Avit 208, 221, 222, 362, 468, and 499 course change requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

Charlie Robertson presented the B.S. Aeronautics with a major in Flight Education change in program requirements (adding Psychology 111 as a required course) and Flight Education change in program requirements request (adding T&L 325 and 345 to degree requirements) and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

5. Liz Tyree presented Nursing change in program requirements request; Nurs 471 course change request; and Nurs 421 new course request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

6. Devon Hansen presented Honors 101S course deletion request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

7. Matt Cavalli presented Mechanical Engineering 442 new course request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

8. The meeting adjourned at 4:05 p.m.
