Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee

April 10, 2003

1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, April 10, in Room 305, Twamley Hall. Doug Marshall presided.

2. Those present were Connie Borboa, Judy Bruce, Mary Drewes, Daniel Erickson, Jim Haskins, Nancy Krogh, Evelyn Labun, and Doug Marshall.

3. Jim Haskins moved to approve the minutes from the March 13 meeting. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

4. Jim Haskins moved to remove the Post-Master's Certificates in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing new program requests from the table. The motion was seconded, voted upon, and carried unanimously.

Evelyn Labun moved to approve the Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing: Nurse Practitioner and the Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing: Clinical Nurse Specialist new program requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

5. Jim Haskins moved to remove the Musc 997 new course request and MM with Music Education Specialization change in program requirements request from the table. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

Jim Haskins moved to approve the Musc 997 new course and MM with Music Education Specialization change in program requirements requests. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

6. Jim Haskins moved to remove AtSc 595 course change request from the table. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

Judy Bruce moved to approve AtSc 595 course change request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

7. Connie Borboa presented the deletion/suspension of courses list for 2002-2003. Jim Haskins moved to approve the list. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

8. Jim Haskins presented Mgmt 301, 302, 407, 408 and 409 course change requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

9. Evelyn Labun presented Nurs 523 and 597 course change requests.

Evelyn Labun moved to approve Nurs 523 course change request. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

Jim Haskins moved to table Nurs 597 course change requests pending clarification of prerequisites. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

10. The meeting adjourned at 4:05.
