Minutes of the University Curriculum Committee

 

October 8, 2009

 

1. A meeting of the University Curriculum Committee was held on Thursday, October 8 in Twamley Hall, Room 305. Liz Tyree presided. Those present were Suzanne Anderson, Connie Borboa, Matthew Borgerson, Kate Campbell, Paul Drechsel, Mary Drewes, Connie Gagelin, Bonni Gourneau, Richard Millspaugh, Jeremiah Neubert, Mary Riske, Seinquis Slater, and Liz Tyree. Guest: Steven Westereng.

 

2. Minutes September 10. Bonni Gourneau moved to approve the minutes. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

3. Steven Westereng presented Athletic Training change in program requirements request; FMed 205 new course request, FMed 343 course change request; PPT 320 new course request. Bonni Gourneau moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.  

 

4. Kate Campbell presented Honors 272, 372, 381 and 382 new course requests. The requests were tabled.   

 

5. Richard Millspaugh presented English 226 course change request and English 235 new course request and moved to approve English 226. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

English 235 was tabled.

 

6. Mary Riske presented change of program requirements request for B.S. in Clinical Lab Science and CLS 472 course change request and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

Mary Riske presented change in program requirements requests for CLS-Immunohematology Catagorical Certificate and CLS-Microbiology Catagorical Certificate and moved approval of both. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

Mary Riske presented CLS 463 new course request and moved approval. The motion was seconded, voted upon and failed with a vote of 1 in favor of, 8 opposed, and 1 abstention.

 

7. Paul Drechsel presented Engineering 200 course change request and Mechanical Engineering 439 and 484 new course requests and moved approval of all. The motion was seconded, voted upon and carried unanimously.

 

8. The meeting adjourned at 4:35 p.m.
