Therapy at PSC
|
Once you have completed the Intake appointment,
you will be assigned a therapist. Your first
Therapy appointment will be scheduled at that
time.
Typically, clients meet with their Graduate
Student Clinicians on a weekly basis. Therapies
can last from brief (up to 15 sessions) to long
term. Therapy is
individualized to a client’s needs, and therefore
your clinician will discuss this with you when you
meet with them. Remember that all Graduate
Student Clinicians are supervised by licensed
Clinical Psychologists.

Therapy appointment are typically about 45 to 50
minutes long. The Graduate Student Clinician will
generally schedule an hour in our book so that
they have time to write a note to document your
session, and to complete any follow-up paperwork
that may be needed. However, we strive to
maintain on-time appointments at PSC.
It is our policy to not run over the scheduled
time. Therefore, if your session starts late, it
will still need to finish at the time originally
scheduled. Our rooms get busy, and our clinicians
have other clients and tasks on their schedules.

Please make sure that you plan enough time to find
parking, walk to your appointment, or tend to your
personal needs so that you can arrive on time for
your appointment. This will ensure the best
service possible.
An appointment will be considered a no-show if you
have not arrived by 15 minutes after your
scheduled start time and we have not heard from
you. If you know that you will be late, or
need to reschedule, please give us a courtesy call
at 701.777.3691 prior to your appointment start
time. The sooner we know, the sooner we can
meet your needs.
